Self-catering holiday cottages in Gresham

The village of Gresham is situated in an unspoilt area of open countryside about 5 miles to the east of the picturesque North Norfolk town of Holt which has excellent shopping facilities and is renowned as the home of Gresham's public school.

There are a number of delightful walks in the area where you can explore the rolling farmland, cobble-walled cottages, quiet lanes and woodland areas. For ornithologists, the bird reserves at Cley, Blakeney and Scolt Head are within easy driving distance. Much of the North Norfolk coast is classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a large number of sandy beaches to enjoy.

The family-friendly seaside town of Sheringham is just 3 miles away, with many diverse shops and places to eat. The sandy beach here has held the European Blue Flag award for cleanliness for a number of years. The town also has a great community spirit and often pulls together to hold a variety of events throughout the year including a carnival, 1940s weekend and a crab and lobster festival.

Just 1 mile away, one of the most elegant country houses in East Anglia can be found: Felbrigg Hall which is full of surprises and delights. Outside, a decorative and productive walled garden is a delight to view and an inspiration for all gardeners. Finally, the rolling landscape park, set in 520 acres of woods, has a lake and waymarked trails which are perfect for discovering an array of wildlife.
